General Sales Manager

  • Assist in developing and executing a strategic plan to achieve monthly and annual forecasts
  • Hire, train, mentor, support and monitor the performance staff
  • Assist Sales Managers in working and closing deals
  • Drive used car acquisition, inventory turn and pricing strategies for maximum profitability
  • Be a hands-on leader, engaging with staff and customers daily to drive performance
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience and retention
  • Maintain strong relationships with manufacturer, vendors and lenders
  • Manage P&L, expense control and overall dealership profitability
  • Stay ahead of market trends, digital retailing and evolving customer expectations
  • Implement growth strategies that align with automotive group objectives by carefully assessing profit and loss while maintaining vehicle inventory that meets the needs of the local market
  • Learn and uphold all local, state and federal regulations impacting vehicle sales and the automotive industry as a whole
  • Play an active role in the community

Requirements

  • Responsible, ethical and committed
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in dealer management; prior Director-level experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Valid Texas Drivers License
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
